Toronto-based blogger, artist, and entrepreneur Alexander Kenton Liang has been producing content for his website since 2010. After graduating from NYC’s Parsons The New School of Art and Design, he went on to work with some big names in the fashion industry, including Condé Nast’s former Details magazine as well as T: The New York Times Style Magazine. Now, as he builds his own personal empire, he tells us: “I’ve also founded my travel-inspired clothing label, Blank & Blue.” He has combined his past editorial experience along with his collaborations alongside brands from Fendi to David Yurman, Longines to Tag Heuer, and BMW to American Express to continue to stake his claim in the competitive fashion industry.
So what inspires this blogging businessman? “I find inspiration everywhere!” Liang exclaims. “Travel, street style I see around town, to people and things I see online.”
As one might expect from the industrious entrepreneur, Liang can be galvanized into excitement by the simplest forms of daily life: “I get really inspired by moments,” he tells us. “I often see things and imagine them in cinematic slo-mo, inspiring a vibe.”

When Canada gets cold, it gets cold, so at the earliest hint of warmer weather, Liang enjoys bringing a little extra excitement to his everyday style by incorporating layers and interesting details, such as his cropped jeans paired here with Vans and without socks.
“I love the jeans I’m wearing in this outfit,” Liang explains. “They have a cool, unique fringe detail on the sides that’s a little bit Western and a bit sporty at the same time.”
But with any outfit he wears, there is one thing he insists on being: comfortable. He explains: “The outfit overall is super comfortable too. I’m all about comfort in style!”
If you are ready to warm you style with this spring-ready look, take your cue from Liang and opt for something layered and lightweight.
