Important topic, especially when people start drinking to escape their problems, start drinking to feel normal, or drink because of mental illness. Many people do dry weeks / months to prove to themselves they are not addicted to alcohol. Very important if you feel you can't control the habit. Keep it quality. Cheers Ralfy.

It took me several whisky festival to learn that there's actually no added value to swallowing the whisky when you're trying to rate it. Now I'm spitting most of them out and it's still a balance act when you're tasting 40-50 of them in few hours.

Try this Ralfy of an evening. Have very little carbs at dinner then at say 8.30pm have 3 egg yokes boiled or fried then have 2 to 3 drams and see how you feel. Then another night having the same meal then have 3 slices of toast with jam then have the same 2 to 3 drams. I have noticed that I feel the drink far more while having carbs. Apparently sugar and bread cause more liver damage than spirits.

Yes Ralfy this is advanced stuff you are talking about here. How to avoid making yourself sick/vulnerable through drinking one too many. True words. I'm 100% with you on that bro. Especially not finishing that last drink if it's too much already.

I've only been blackout drunk once in my life, no memory of most of the night or how I got home, at a party of people I didn't know, six towns away from my house. Only a good while afterwards did I realize how dangerous a situation I'd put myself in, I was lucky enough to have two good friends who made sure I got home.

Tomatoes. That’s right. Tomatoes help to lessen the effects of heavy alcohol consumption on your organs. So eat some cherry tomatoes instead of those peanuts and popcorn at the pub.
