waiting for your wormtubs nice something to learn, good luck with the storm
The new bottle and label are horrendous. Looks like a cheap perfume bottle. They could have learned from Arran or Bimber!
I was the man that took the grouse weather vane from the roof. Always enjoyed working there.
Brits may be allowed to sit on a park bench with another person soon says UK government! …
WTF have you people become!
Thanks for the review Ralfy, considering it’s use with blended whisky, would you consider blending some of it with another whisky in your collection? If so what would it be?
Long time fan Ralphy, keep the vids comin 😉
For such fancy marketing involved with the new look bottle, mad that they went with a hard to read label on the back. Hoping the price of the 12 drops but I won't hold my breath.
It might be a bit of a sharp Whisky, but what a nice looking bottle! Maybe they should just sell the bottle on its own?
13:55 I appreciate that you acknowledge this, Ralfy…it's easy to get jaded. Not that you're jaded; spoiled…for sure. haha
Hearing you talk about blends got me thinking, do you ever make your own blends with your spirits? I've been playing with a mix of Islay (Ardbeg) and rye (Whistlepig) with some nice results.
I always get a little worried when companies try to "razzle dazzle" me with fancy bottles.
Hello fellow malty muff munchers!!
Im curious for this one. Yes i too got a dram of grouse at glen turret and it just tasted like vodka. Really shitty. Still kept the yanks happy when they came over for scatch and golf and pish like that.
I would love you to review Arran Amarone Cask Finish.
Glad I wasn't the only one miffed with the back label!
A meet in the middle solution for some distilleries using blunt foce weapon style bottles would be to offer a refill service – cuts down on waste, reduces energy used on glass production and engenders a degree of brand loyalty. Most distilleries probably won't consider it due to the inevitable ear-ache they'd get for daring to put whisky in a capri-sun pouch or such like.
Game of the week: guessing what the malt mark will be.
There is a bottle of adelphi Glenturret in my stash, single cask, 31 years or so. Very nice. Must have been one of the better bourbon casks.

Ardbeg 10yo is the best
Which episode is the worm tub episode?
I have some very good Glenturrets, especially the 1977s are excellent. But fun fact, all are from independent Bottlers.
