I too prefer tapered pants. Problem is they always get stuck to my calves once I stand up

Excellent tips. Thanks! (And the tapered pants look great on you, especially the tan ones.)

Great video with great examples George! Would it be possible to have a tailor on-video to explain to us what he/she did to accommodate your needs in a future video? Thanks!
Anyway on a Korean forum I frequent there was a discussion on tailoring, and the general consensus was to buy clothes that fit best off the rack and avoid tailoring when possible! Well that and if that's not possible, then finding out exactly what you want and finding a tailor who will cater to your needs is next best, as mentioned in this video. By the way, what do you think of using on-site tailors for new clothes? That's usually I how I get my garments to fit in length/width tailored first, and find the local tailor for any further alterations I need.

nice informative video. but as much as possible, it is better to save up and go for a made to measure programme because we can have some of the details customised to ourselves + ensure that we get a good fit

Never lift your arms when wearing a suit of the rack

I forget to say that I think one of the best ways of making an OTR suit look great is to not only change the length of the sleeves but also taper them, similarly to how you'd taper pant legs. It gives the jacket a much more bespoke look for cheap

This should be a staple video of tailoring. Everyone talks about it, but this is the best video to show by example.

Any suggestions for viewers in Louisville, KY? I just paid $40 for a hem and Calf-down taper of denim! I have not found tailor with better prices yet.

Good advice but not everyone has that athletic type of build which is easier to fix and fit suits. Those who have gravity and the good life affect the midsection it is more difficult to go your route. Tried it with MensWarehouse and JosB with mix results. The cost of alterations was more than the suits themselves. I've tried MTM with better results but still there is that learning curve they go thru to get it right. You are lucky that otr or off the peg comes close to. you.

I totally agree, you can have $100 suit and if it is tailored the right way it will look amazing. Suits videos are my favorites, keep them coming!

    Hello George,
My tailor did a mistake which is using a bad choke quality to mark his work on the jacket,
Now the chock doesn't get off the garment even after using water and dry cleaning after that,
    Any solutions please
